Bring Clean Fuel Technology to California

This year alone millions of Californians will suffer from a variety of health ailments because of increasing air pollution from vehicle exhaust. But a solution to clean our air and make it easier to breath already exists today.

More than five million vehicles, such as Ford Tauruses, are already equipped with engines that can run on an energy source called "flex fuel" - fuel that is a combination of traditional gasoline and biofuels like corn-based ethanol that cuts down on tailpipe emissions, produces fewer greenhouse gases, and reduces the need for imported oil.

So why can't Californians driving these cars buy this cleaner fuel? Because only one filling station in California sells ethanol fuel to the public!

Tell oil companies that it is time to offer flex fuels to California consumers!

With California vehicles burning through 15 billion gallons of gasoline last year, a number that is expected to jump in the next 20 years, more and more toxic emissions will be released into our atmosphere. Having clean fuel technology could substantially cut down on the amount of these emissions, and make our air safer to breathe. And because flex fuel reduces the amount of gasoline drivers use we could reduce our global warming emissions.

Until more gas stations in California offer flex fuels, the air quality problems caused by auto emissions will only get worse. It's time that oil companies move in the right direction - tell them to sell flex fuels in California.

Dear /Name/

Millions in California this year alone will suffer the health impacts of increasing air pollution from vehicle exhaust!

But one solution already exists. So why are you dragging your feet on offering "flex fuels" to California consumers?
It's time to offer flex fuel options in the Golden State.

With California vehicles burning through 15 billion gallons of gasoline last year, a number that is expected to jump in the next 20 years, more and more toxic emissions are released into our atmosphere. We could cut down substantially by using clean fuel technology like flex cars.
But with only one flex fuel station in all of California, who can drive one?

It's time to offer flex fuel pumps to California consumers!

Sincerely,
